Unbreakable bonds

I’m a passionate and licensed Sardinian tour guide willing to turn your visit into a deep and engaging experience. Driven by a genuine desire to make you love every moment spent together, I’m going to share with you our ancient traditions, common beliefs and values, as well as unveiling the beauty of Sardinia wilderness, its unique prehistorical monuments and original medieval history.

Heading Inland

Discover the island, tie up with the local community and immerse yourself in a valuable travel experience. We are committed to building a meaningful connection between your longing for discovery and the treasures cherished deep in our heart.

We encourage you to head inland and soak up the rural life of our small villages and ancient farmlands known as stazzi while enjoying traditional food, visiting an artisan workshop or by taking part in a traditional folk festival.

In the tiny inland villages of Sardinia life has a different rhythm, unchanged over time. People live in harmony with nature, eating seasonally and cooking traditional recipes using locally sourced ingredients.

In the warm atmosphere of a centuries-old inhabited house, tasting genuine food and ancient flavors, you will feel part of local life.

Sardinia is an ancient island and Sardinians have held on tightly to their deep-rooted culture. With our guidance you will gain a deeper insight into customs and traditions that resist the passage of time and strengthen bonds with family and friends.

Sipping a glass of Gallura’s most famous wine, Vermentino, you will meet the friendly gaze of people who have always cared for these places, making you part of traditional rituals passed down through generations.

And here is exactly where we want to bring you, to get connected with a simple and rural lifestyle. An interesting visit to discover also the medieval remains of a glorious past when the monarchs of Gallura’s Kingdom lived here in castles and elegant manor houses.

ABOUT ME

My name is Francesca, I was born and raised in Sardinia and I’m the founder of Liami.

As a child I was fascinated by people speaking another language and I always wished to give meaning to the sounds my ears were hearing as well as to discover cultures other than my own. I thus decided to  study foreign languages at the University of Sassari, and to travel abroad for long-term study periods between England, Germany and Spain. I graduated from University with a degree in Languages, Cultures and International Communication and I completed an advanced training course in Translation for the Tourism Industry held by the College for Interpreters and Translators located in Pescara.

During my studies I started working as a hotel receptionist. Committing myself to a professional career, I have worked for more than thirteen years in four and five stars Hotels as Front Office Manager, Concierge Supervisor and Resident Manager.

These were years of analyses, inspiring encounters and confrontations that make me feel a strong desire to offer visitors a high-quality and unforgettable travel experience generating at the same time a positive impact on local communities while preserving the environment. All this leads me to the decision to learn more about my island and to take part in educational courses about Sardinia’s geology, archeology, wild herbs and plants’ identification, traditional food and wines, environment conservation and sustainability.

I follow my dream, I travel and explore Sardinia on foot, I become a licensed tourist guide and an Aigae associated hiking guide.
